Last Thursday, October 1st, was a very special day for ROY chocolatier: it was the World Chocolate and Cocoa Day! A whole day to pay tribute to this little bean, source of great gourmets happiness: was it not logical to celebrate it once a year?

The Origins of the World Chocolate and Cocoa Day
The World Chocolate and Cocoa Day was created by the French Academy of Chocolate and Confectionary. For nearly 15 years, this special occasion is celebrated each October 1st. The World Chocolate and Cocoa Day aims to show the fundamental link between chocolate and cocoa, and raise awareness customers such as you and us to the efforts and work of millions of small cocoa holder farmers without whom chocolate would not exist.
Across the world, this day is the occasion of many events. Conferences are organized every year around key themes such as:
- the growth of the chocolate market,
- the awareness of customers regarding the specific ethical and environmental issues related to the sharp increase of cocoa consumption,
- the highlight of a product of exception,
- or the recognition of the work of cocoa farmers worldwide.
A Special Day for Chocolate Lovers

The World Chocolate and Cocoa Day is also a nice opportunity to pay tribute to chocolate customers. Each year and on all around the world, chocolate manufacturers and distributors imagine and create to celebrate this event. Tastings, fairs or culinary masterclasses are organized to explain the most beautiful applications of cocoa.
Because there is no limit for gourmets, at ROY chocolatier, we decided that chocolate festival would last all year round. Yes it is worth celebrating chocolate every day!
Since October 1st, we propose new products, new offers and of course we are looking forward to see you in our shop at 27 rue de Longchamp in Paris, to discover our latest flavors: ROY Parisian little chocolate tiles with combava fruit, chocolate with fleur de sel, raisins coated with chocolate.
