The sugar is replaced by Maltitol, which does not denature chocolate taste. Studies show that maltitol has a lower glycemic index than regular sugar. It helps reducing sugar absorption and is advised for persons who suffer from diabetes (always take the advice of a doctor) or are under diet and who would enjoy delicious chocolate. They are different ways to enjoy sugar free chocolate: in bars, “little chocolate Parisian tile”, with almonds or coated chocolate nuts.
